Faithful. That word kept coming to mind as I spent time with The LORD this morning. God is so faithful. When he wants to change us – he does. Where he wants to grow us – he does. How he wants to shape us – he does. Sometimes change is exciting, sometimes uncomfortable, other times it’s downright miserable. Sometimes life appears stagnant.
There were days I stood a little taller, others smaller. But at the end of this lap around the sun, I know I’m not the same person I was a year ago. And I pray I’m not the same tomorrow as I am today.
To me, all of the discomfort in the world is worth it if a single life is positively affected in some way, shape or form. I don’t share my heart because it’s fun or easy, but in hopes that someone is inspired to press on in their own story. To walk it out with courage and determination to be the person they were uniquely created to be. A different type of beauty is unveiled in this truth.
There’s a deeper part in all of us crying out for a higher purpose. We are more than the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the degrees we have, or the worth any job assigns. This part looks past the everyday to-do’s and craves real relationships with real people.
I’m a firm believer that God speaks to us through our hearts and works through the different relationships in our lives to mold us into the people he wants us to be. We are privileged to draw out the best in one another. To intentionally encourage and invest in the lives of others. Imagine what it would look like, if we chose only to see the best in one another. Try beginning your day on a “God-hunt” … look for his divine interceding as you go about your way. You just might notice more “coincidences” when he’s trying to get your attention.
